Referee Program

If you possess a keen interest in officiating basketball games while earning compensation, we invite you to consider joining the West Ottawa Basketball Association as a referee. By becoming part of our team, you will benefit from the mentorship of senior referees with over 25 years of experience.
The Association is actively seeking referees aged 15 years of age and over, to oversee games across various divisions. Each weekend during the season, West Ottawa Basketball Association hosts approximately 20-30+ games, all officiated by our dedicated referees. Referee compensation is competitive and commensurate with your level of experience.
Recognizing that many of our referees are also players or coaches, the West Ottawa Basketball Association makes every effort to accommodate your schedule.
Join us in shaping the game of basketball in a professional and supportive environment geared towards development and excellence on-and-off the court.
